The Wharton Pilot Club will hold its 38th Annual Chili Supper on Wednesday, Jan. 27.
For nearly four decades, volunteers have held this event to raise funds for the organization’s many projects within the community.
Those projects include: Lifeline — a personal response system which enables individuals to remain independent and in their homes for a longer period of time; Brain Minders; Anchor Club of WHS; SHARE; Habitat for Humanity; Patriots and Heroes Outdoors; Texana IDD; Wharton County Veteran’s Day Program; Boys & Girls Club; Just Do It Now; and college scholarships.
Due to the ongoing pandemic, members have limited this event to drive-thru only; however, you’re sure to get your fill with large portions of chili, rice, beans and complementary dessert. Meal tickets remain at $10/each, making for a very budget-friendly dinner.
In lieu of a silent auction, members have created a gift certificate raffle. The prizes range from $1,000 to $250 and raffle tickets are $10/piece.
Things are set to kick off at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 27 at the Wharton KC Hall.
For meal, raffle tickets or to inquire further about the event, contact any Pilot Club member, stop by Radio Shack or find the The Pilot Club of Wharton, TX on Facebook.
