The Wharton County Farmers Market will return to Wharton’s Guffey Park this Saturday, October 24.
Starting at 9 a.m., vendors will have their handcrafted, homegrown and other artisan products on display and for sale.
Organizers hope to gain more interest from locals by the introduction of live music and by showcasing a larger amount of local vendors.
Attendees will shop to the rustic sounds of local musician Blake Dylan Farthing, who covers hit songs from the 1960’s to now, with a mix of rock and country.
So far, the list of vendors include: Country Q’s — a goats milk soap company; The Flamingo Cactus; M. Rae West Boutique; Brahman Country Beef LLC; Esai’s Leatherworks; Moonside Macarons; Staudacher Farm; Veronica’s Crafts; TwoThirtyNine; and many more independent canners, crafters and farmers.
The County Gin will be offering tea; sweet and unsweet for shoppers to sip on while strolling through the market.
In order to keep everyone in good health, the market recommends practicing safe social distancing and face masks or coverings are encouraged.
The market will continue from 9 a.m. to noon each Saturday until December 12.
