City of East Bernard, Mayor
Marvin Holub, for Mayor (Incumbent)
My name is Marvin Holub. I am running for re-election as mayor of East Bernard. As mayor, I established a maintenance department that takes care of our city park, pool, road repairs and drainage. I have purchased equipment for this department that can be used now and in the future. I have established an animal control department and have a licensed person to capture and care for the animals. A new facility to house dogs that are captured and held until owner pick up or adoption is in progress. Ongoing projects include culverts and drainage pothole and road repairs. All projects are being completed as the budget allows.
Previously, I owned and operated NAPA Auto Parts for over 36 years. I bring these business skills to the city; managing the budget and personnel.
John Kopycinski, for Mayor
My name is John Kopycinski. I live in East Bernard with my wife, Kaylan, and our two sons, Hays and Ridge. I was born and raised here, and I genuinely love this town. I am currently on the City Council and serve as Mayor Pro-Tem. I have chosen to run for Mayor because I have enjoyed my service thus far, and I want to make a difference and impact. The main things I want to address as Mayor are drainage and city beautification. There are several spots in town that are a major cause of flooding which impact surrounding neighborhoods. In addition, our main street needs some work/maintenance so that everyone can see how unique East Bernard is, for both residents and visitors. I feel that I have a strong personality that will get jobs completed in a timely manner for the benefit of the city.
