Wharton ISD Board of Trustees Position 6
Hi, I’m Fred Johnson. I have been proud to call Wharton my home for the past 11 years. Being a part of this community has truly been a blessing for me and my family. I have been working with children for over 20 years, and my experience has taught me the value providing students with a positive, safe, nurturing and structured learning environment to help them reach their fullest potential. I am running for Position 6 of the Wharton ISD School Board to ensure that our children are receiving the best education possible, by the best educators available. I will be a constant champion for accountability to achieving and maintaining positive results. I am asking for your vote to help ensure that our school district is one that we all can be proud of.
My name is LaTisha Fisher-Gilmore (Tisa). I am a fourth generation native of Wharton, Texas — born and raised. I am a candidate for WISD trustee Position 6. I am married and have two beautiful daughters. My husband and I are both successful products of WISD. I have been a dedicated and kindhearted nurse for over 20 years. He has been an independent business owner for 15 years. Our youngest daughter is currently a student of WISD. Our oldest daughter graduated from WISD and is currently attending WCJC. Some of my goals are to ensure accountability, uphold discipline and reduce achievement gaps. It has always been a passion of mine to be a part of the school board. I would greatly appreciate it if you would consider me as the next member on the WISD board. Early voting begins on October 13, 2020. Thank you! An education is not an OPTION, it is the KEY to success.
