The brother of victim Stephanie Paniagua has been indicted for her alleged slaying, in addition to tampering with evidence following the meeting of the Wharton County Grand Jury on Aug. 4.
Julio Sesar Paniagua, 21, was one of 52 individuals who were indicted by the grand jury. Only those names that have been arrested can be released.
According to Wharton County District Attorney Dawn Allison, the following individuals indicted on Aug. 4 include:
- Domingo Adalpe for theft.
- Latrice Deshawn Amie for theft.
- Alec Raymond Carranza for three counts, including two counts of aggravated robbery and one count of unlawful possession of a felon.
- Devon Dwayne Colvin for forgery.
- Justin Deshawn Crump for three counts, including: burglary of a habitation; possession of a controlled substance PG 1 (less than 1 gram); and evading arrest with a prior conviction.
- Julian Alberto Cruz for three counts, including: possession of a controlled substance PG 2 (4-400 grams) with the intent to deliver; possession of a controlled substance PG 1 (less than 1 gram) with intent to deliver; and possession of a controlled substance PG 3 (less than 28 grams) with the intent to deliver.
- Pedro Cura-Hernandez for possession of a controlled substance PG 1 (1-4 grams).
- Jacolby Dejuan Dickerson for possession of a controlled substance PG 2 (4-400 grams) and possession of a controlled substance PG 1 (less than 1 gram) in a drug-free zone.
- Rachel Ann Dixon for forgery.
- Barry Glen Dunlap for driving while intoxicated with a child passenger.
- Ana Patricia Escamilla for theft.
- Demarcus Demond Faniel for possession of a controlled substance PG 1 (4-200 grams) and tampering with physical evidence.
- Lloyd Mac Finex for possession of a controlled substance PG 1 (4-200 grams).
- Kimberly Rochell Galindo for possession of a controlled substance PG 1 (less than 1 gram).
- Asuncion Cruz Garcia for money laundering ($2,500-$30,000).

- Tre Anthony Munoz for five counts, including: attempted murder; engaging in organized criminal activity; deadly conduct; and two counts of endangering a child.
- Ethan Jose Ortiz for evading arrest with a motor vehicle and possession of a controlled substance PG 2 (4-400 grams).
- Domingo Ray Palacios for arson.
- David Antelmo Perez for evading arrest with a motor vehicle and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon.
- Jose Augustine Perez-Prado for driving while intoxicated, third or more offense.
- Guadalupe Ramos for deadly conduct.
- Crystal Lay Rodriguez for three counts, including: possession of a controlled substance PG 1 (1-4 grams) with intent to deliver; possession of a controlled substance PG 1 (1-4 grams) with intent to deliver; and possession of a controlled substance PG 1 (less than 1 gram).
- Raymond Longoria Rueda Jr. for assault (strangulation) of a family member.
- Devante Deon Ruffin (also known as Kourtney Ruffin and Kourtney Dash) for fraudulent use or possession of identifying information.
- Arthur Saucedo for theft of a firearm.
- Manuel Sedillo III for assault (strangulation) of a family member.
- Rojolis Solis for four counts of theft.
- Ethan Cord Thieman for engaging in organized criminal activity.
- Walter Lee Washington III for two counts of possession of a controlled substance PG 1 (less than 1 gram).
- Darrelle Laron Williams for possession of marijuana and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon.
Superseding indictments include Andrew Jay Marquez for two counts, including sexual assault of a child (continuous), with a victim under the age of 14 and sexual assault of a child.
All defendants are presumed innocent until proven otherwise in a court of law.
